Our Inspiration
Inspiration comes in many forms. For me it was when I met Dave Gotts – founder of International China Concern – a charity looking after abandoned disabled children. He had a fascinating story, fuelled by such love, dedication and selflessness that it left me humbled. Later that week I browsed the International China Concern site and read a letter from a volunteer working at one of his orphanages that had an even more profound effect on me.
"[When you are working at the orphanage] remember the phrase 'Ming Tian Jian' (see you tomorrow). Three simple words the kids love to hear and respond to with a smile filled with hope and joy."
It touched me thinking of these abandoned children just hoping to see a friendly face the next day.
Throughout my professional and personal life, I have been fortunate to meet many inspirational people who have brought above courageous positive change in their own and other lives. It is these people that have inspired me to set up an organization that helps people discover what they truly want to do with their lives. Read more inspiring stories here...
Don't these children deserve the same opportunity to live to their full potential?
While we are all on a journey to make positive change to our lives, there are children around the world less fortunate and who are unable to make such a change. Destineering is dedicated to improving these lives through projects and partnerships with nonprofits.
